Reflection
In peer teaching assignment, I wanted to present Geogebra since I have used it very recently for my previous geometry course. I was kind of sure how this platform could be implemented in lessons and in which places it helps students. However, I was not very experienced with the platform. So, I had to collect some information on the internet. I have watched introductory video from the Geogebra’s official youtube channel and I got some help from AI. There are also written sources but I kind of skipped them. I did not want to overload information as the platform covers too many things and I had 10 minutes to present it.
I got some screenshots from the its webpage. I originally planned to show them on live computer but when I practiced the presentation, I noticed it would take too many time. I tried to explain the user interface on the board. I found an example activity that is done by Geogebra’s team. I also had an activity that I made but I thought letting my friends to try the former would make things clearer for how this can be used in quizzes.
I used libreoffice impress which is an open source powerpoint software to make this presentation. Since I can convert the file type to .pdf I was sure that there would be no compatibility issues. I tried to make it minimal and not exhaust the presentation with many visuals
