Hello everybody. My name is Alp Eren. Today we will study about the area of a triangle. Let's define height and base first. Base is any of the three flat sides of a triangle representing the side it "rests" on. Height is the shortest, perpendicular distance from a base to the its opposite vertex. The triangle we see on the screen are acute triangle. The triangles can be right and obtuse too. So, in obtuse triangles height can be outside of the triangle while in the right triangle it can be on the side. Now I want you to guess what would happen to the area of a triangle if I just increased its height from 30cm to 60cm. Now I want you to test your hypothesis via geogebra activity that you can access to on the webpage. After testing that, try to make generalizations and conjectures with adjusting more sliders. Then, note what you found. Finally, we see that the area of a triangle is proportional with base and its height. The exact formula is height*base/2.
Reflection
This video task was tricky for me. I was inexperienced with video making and it affected my final product. I had a good microphone but it picked some noice outside. Also, the voice was not good in some sections. My guess is, it happened due to location of the microphone.
I used da vinci resolve to edit my video. Again, it was my first time doing it. By asking AI, I was able make the voice better (the edit only reduced loud sections). I cropped begining and ending of the video. However, I didn't cropped the parts I was stuch or said 'uhmm' because I the idea didn't come to my mind.
I used javascript, html and css to make the interactions of my video. I made AI to generate the code, then I read it and editted to fit my video. I had failed attempts with other applications. I didn't want to use edpuzzle because I want everything to stay on my webpage. I also heard about H5P but it was designed for big instutitions and not for individual use (you had to host the system because they think you will PHP backend to store student data.) So it was not suitible for my use. However, I liked the final product for the interactions. It is readible and I embedded my geogebra activity as well. I was not very experienced with geogebra but I did what I wanted nonetheless.
